Mobile Plant Fitter

AK Plant Services is a small family run business based in Somerset with an exciting opportunity for an experienced plant fitter to join our team.

The job will involve maintenance, repairs, servicing, and fault finding in hydraulics, pneumatics, diesel and petrol engines, and the ideal candidate must have basic electrical & welding competency. The machines will include Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers, Screeners, Forklifts, Telehandlers & small tools.

The role itself is mainly field-based, covering the South West region and the M4/M5 Corridor, but you must also be willing to travel to other areas and stay away when required. Our workshop is based in Bridgwater, which you will be required to travel to so being based within reasonable travelling distance to TA9 is essential.

• Servicing machinery
• Maintenance of machinery
• Fault finding and repairs of machinery

All applicants must:

• Be a qualified or time served plant engineer
• Hold a CSCS Card
• Be a good team player
• Be polite and customer-focused
• Hold a current driving licence
